Hey everyone!
My name is Nick Spagnola and as long as the budget cuts don’t force an elongated work furlough or some other plausible nightmare, I will be the new Marketing and Communications Student Manager at Gas Creative Group.
Before I start this attempt at a witty intro blog, I want to give a shout out to my friend and predecessor, Brittany Spangler. Aside from the plastic clock she received from ASI, she will be getting these parting words from me as a graduation present (Sorry Brit, I’m broke).
But from what it seems, she has done an amazing job here during her reign and I have some very big heels to fill. Thanks for everything Brit; if I can help Gas progress half as much as you have, I’ll be pleased. Also, I’ve started to embrace the “new-Brittany” nickname that has been attributed to me, so everyone can feel free to continue that trend.
Now, my first impression of Gas: wow! My excitement level is seriously through the roof. The office itself just reeks of a fun but productive environment, and the people occupying it are obviously close, but extremely welcoming. The mesh of diverse personalities and a ridiculous amount of talent creates this haven of creativity and ingenuity that I hope to call home for a long time.
Hearing about ASI marketing in the past, while being able to read through some of the current idea reports, just goes to show how far this group has gone, and the potential for more genius that still remains. I hope to be able to really open up the campus community to the awesomeness that is Gas Creative Group.
Furthermore, I am going to heed Andrea’s orders and try to start writing for the Gas blog a little, so hopefully you will hear from me in the near future. For now, I’m going to get back to a potential new campaign (yea, get excited) and the process of “customizing my workspace” (Does it count if I’m just borrowing backgrounds from Martin and adding stills from YouTube videos that make me laugh? Hopefully).
I want to hear from you, so please contact me at marketingmanager@asi.csupomona.edu with any questions, comments, or concerns.
Ciao!
Nick Spagnola
